Dr. Elizabeth Nichols is an Associate Professor in Radiation Oncology at the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine. She is the Clinical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Medical Director at the University Of Maryland Medical Center. After earning her undergraduate degree from Duke University, she completed medical school, internship and residency in radiation oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine/Medical Center where she also served as the chief resident. As a clinician, Dr. Nichols specializes in the treatment of breast and gynecologic cancers. Her current research focus is on the implementation of novel approaches in the treatment of early-stage breast cancer. Dr. Nichols is an instructor in the Introduction to Clinical Medicine course in the school of medicine and serves on a variety of school, hospital and departmental committees.
